Sharing Circle- Online Sacred Space

02/02/2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

An opportunity to come together with community, to listen and be heard, to create sacred space together.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation as the traditional custodians of the land where we live. We pay our respects to their elders past and present and express our deep gratitude for their ongoing care of this land. We celebrate the continuation of Aboriginal cultures and emerging Aboriginal leaders. Sovereignty of this land has never been ceded.

We (Kiri and Melissa) would like to invite you to join us for an online sharing circle. We will be using Zoom to hold a 90 minute space for sharing what is alive for each of us as we turn toward the unfolding climate crisis.

We have gained much solace from the face to face gatherings we have attended in recent weeks. One thing that gives us hope in all this is the way communities have banded together in mutual care and support. We are aware that not everyone has the opportunity to access these kinds of circles and spaces. We hope that offering an online space will give more people a chance to experience the solace of sharing and being witnessed in their feelings.

Our grief for the Earth is part of our love, part of what inspires right action and right relationship. When we come together in community to share the feelings that are alive in us we create opportunities for connection.

We are grateful for the technology that allows us to convene this space and are taking this opportunity to experiment with creating connection and a sense of sacred space online. Thank you for joining us in this experiment.
