DESCRIPTION:Kookookookookahkahkahkah!!! \nDo you hear the call\, wild ones? The kookaburras are singing us home – back to country\, back to community and back to connection! \nFrom Tuesday 30th September to Saturday 4th October\, we will return to beautiful Wurundjeri Country to reconnect with nature\, ourselves\, family and community. A few rich days immersed in the wild\, heeding the call\, catching stories\, sharing songs\, skills and\, of course\, adventures! \nThis is a family friendly\, drug and alcohol-free event\, and everyone is welcome – from the freshest joeys to the wisest elders – diversity in the forest and the village is what we’re all about! There’ll be mentor programs for the young ones\, fire-by-friction\, sharing circles\, shared meals in the Willum\, stories\, songs\, games and more! \nFind out more about what Village Camp entails here or by navigating to Firekeepers Village Camp in the menu bar above. \nDATES AND LOCATION\n30th September to 4th October\nRowallan Scout Camp\, Riddells Creek \nTICKETS\nTickets on sale at this link from Friday 8th August at 8am. \nAll tickets for program participants (adults and children) are the same price\, with a lower price for joeys (children who are still in or stick close to the parent’s pouch and too young to participate in the kids’ program). \nPrices for this camp are:\nAdult: $330\nChild 4+: $330\nJoey 3yo: $125\nJoey 0-2yo: $50 \nAll tickets – including volunteer tickets and joey tickets – include a contribution towards the Village Fund. The Village Fund celebrates the diversity of our community by acknowledging that not all of us have equally abundant access to funds. While some of us are able to support the village\, others – including many of the essential volunteers and mentors who make camp possible – need the village’s support to be able to gather with us and share their gifts. If this is you\, and you need the support of the village\, you can enter the code ‘fundme’ at checkout to have the Village Fund discount of $50 per ticket applied. For those finding themselves in a place of abundance\, you can also make an additional contribution to the Village Fund at checkout. \nKEEN TO VOLUNTEER?\nIf you are excited to jump aboard as a mentor or member of the village support crew\, please fill out an expression of interest form as soon as possible. DESCRIPTION:Spring Village Camp Teen Rite of Passage Tickets on Sale Now!!\nFirekeepers’ Spring Village Camp\n29th September to the 3rd October at Rowallan Scout Camp\, Riddells Creek\nGeneral Sale Postponed to August 19th!\nThe kookaburras are singing us home – back to country\, back to community and back to connection. \nOur volunteer-led community model is thriving\, dear friends\, and we’re so excited to be blowing on the embers of our fourth rekindled Village Camp! \nThis spring from the 29th September to the 3rd October we will return once again to beautiful bushy Wurundjeri Country in Riddells Creek to reconnect with nature\, ourselves\, family and community. \nThis year we’re taking a little more time before opening general village registrations because we’re tending to something important. Our Teen Rite of Passage is returning to Village Camp. \nWe believe adolescence deserves more than being rushed through. It deserves community\, challenge\, belonging and ceremony. \nVillage Camp has always been more than an event. It’s a living village\, woven with care\, where children\, teenagers\, adults and elders all find a place to belong. A place to reconnect to the living world. \nThis year our Spring Village Camp will include a dedicated Teen Rite of Passage. \nAdolescence is one of life’s great thresholds yet in our culture it is so often left unmarked. We are preparing a journey for teens to mark this passage into young adulthood. Over several days\, our teenagers will be invited into challenge\, responsibility\, story\, deep connection and an overnight journey on Country. Held by experienced mentors and witnessed by community. Because adolescence deserves ceremony. \nDo you have a teen that is looking for a place where young people are seen\, trusted and welcomed into the next season of life?
